Fall show changed

We were really disappointed that we didn’t get enough people audition to cast From Rags to Riches. We’ve had to cancel shows more than once because this happened. BUT…

This time we have decided to switch the show to one that will feature 3 very talented women who did show up for auditions — Eleemosynary by Lee Blessing.

“Sensitive and probing, this masterful play examines the subtle and often perilous relationship between three remarkable women: a young girl, her mother, and her grandmother.”

The two plays are very different, of course. From Rags to Riches needed at least 12 cast members, 8 of them men, and was set in 1890’s New York. Eleemosynary needs 3 women, and is a contemporary piece. And just our luck! The 3 women who auditioned for Rags.. happened to be perfect for it!

Many MANY thanks go to director Jerry McKeen for his willingness to make this very quick shift from one show to another! And to the actresses who are willing to play parts they didn’t audition for.
