We’re working on plans for our 2012-2013 Season. Some things are set, some things are still in the works. Here’s where we are and what we need at this point.
Fall 2012
Rex Kelch will direct a comedy. We don’t know which one yet, but you can be sure it will provide lots of laughs. We’ll be looking at auditions for this one in late August or early September. Expect an announcement about this very soon.
We’ll need…
Tech crew and actors. More on that when we know what the show will be.
Winter 2013
We’d like to do a show early in 2013 that would begin rehearsals in January and play in late February. Problem is, we need a director. So, if you direct and you have a show you’re itching to do, make your pitch!
We need…
A Director and and show!
April 2013 – The Trip to Bountiful
This touching play by Thornton Foote will be directed by Jim Walker who is the artistic director of the Landmark Studio for the Arts in Braxton County. The show will be cast from actors in both the Clarksburg and Sutton areas. One weekend of performances will be in Clarksburg and one weekend will be in Sutton at the Landmark Studio. Phyl Charnes will play the role of Carrie. All other roles will be cast from open auditions sometime in the spring.
We need…
Crew (props, set construction, stage crew, light tech, sound tech)
Stage Manager
Cast members for:
- Ludie Watts – Carrie’s son
- Sheriff
- Jessie Mae Watts – Carrie’s daughter-in-law
- Thelma – young woman on the bus to Bountiful
- Houston ticket seller
- Second Houston ticket seller
- Harrison ticket seller
- Travelers at the various stations (non speaking roles; all ages).
June 2013 – reasons to be pretty
We’re so excited to have Beau Bowden return to Clarksburg for a couple of months to direct reasons to be pretty, a Tony nominated contemporary drama by Neil LaBute. Often described as “a hopelessly romantic drama about the hopelessness of romance” play is an indictment of America’s obsession with physical appearance. Auditions will be in early May.
We need…
Crew (light tech, sound tech, props, stage crew)
Stage Manager
Cast of four 20-somethings, 2 men, 2 women
