Summer Youth Theatre 2024

The ACT 2 Theatre Company will present its fifth Summer Youth Theatre production the first two weekends in August. Once again co-directors Cricket Hall and John Hall have prepared a program to highlight the talented young actors and actresses from the local area. The age group involved includes rising fifth graders through high school seniors.

This year’s show includes three acts. SHUDDERSOME: TALES OF POE adapted by Lindsay Price, features classic works of Edgar Allen Poe such as The TellTale Heart, The Bells, The Oval Portrait, The Raven, and Masque of the Red Death. Dueling Monologues has actor-pairs performing complementary speeches from famous plays.

This year’s cast and crew includes Kaiya Krupia, Ray Mick, Theodora E I Hardy, Chelsea Willis, Izzy Glassco, Rhapsody H Hall, Leumbra R Ensey, Claire McElwayne, Hannah Glassco, Jayla Hardy, Natalie Land, Rebecca Andrick, Brandy Ibbeson, Anevay PeaceMaker, Persephone A. Hall, Claire Loar, Isabel Loar, and Emily Ibbeson.

Audiences can choose from eight performances: August 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 at 7:00 pm and Sundays Aug 4 and 11 at 2;00 pm at the McCrory Marketplace Great Hall located at 315 West Main Street, downtown Clarksburg. All tickets are at the door at $5 per person, cash or check only.
