Susan Capicotto Nichols is appearing in The Most Massive Woman Wins, one of the one-acts in Set Me FREE!. Here’s her story…
“I moved from Tampa, Florida to West Virginia about 2 years ago and almost immediately became a member of the Board of Directors with ACT 2 Theatre. Shortly after, I auditioned for Eleemosynary and performed the role of Artie. For ACT 2 Theatre’s summer show, I directed the comedy Holy Cannoli and our cast made an appearance at the West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival. I have also performed in a local murder mystery production in Elkins, WV.
I have been involved in Community and Dinner Theatre in New Port Richey, Florida since 1997. Some of my favorite performances are the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz, Desdemona in Lend Me a Tenor, M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias, Bella in Lost in Yonkers and Angela, in the Godfather’s Meshuggener Wedding, (an audience interactive dinner show).
Recently, I performed in a supporting role for the independent film, Diamonds to Dust, a bio-pic on the life of Jayne Mansfield.
One of the things I enjoy most about ACT 2 Theatre is their willingness to try something different and edgy for the arts. The Most Massive Woman Wins definitely falls into that category and it has given me the opportunity to explore and learn more about the craft.”
