OLEANNA is an intense play about political correctness and sexual harassment. It’s the kind of show that requires seasoned and intelligent actors. That’s exactly how director Jim Walker cast this production of the play which will open in Sutton at the Landmark Studio for the Arts with an additional performance in Charleston during FestivALL as well as in Clarksburg. It is a performance that is not to be missed if you like serious and thoughtful theatre.

Cicely Bosley, who plays Carol, is thrilled to be working with her hometown theatre again! She received her BA in Education (Oral Communication & English) from Fairmont State University and her MFA in Theatre from the University of Central Florida where she studied Theatre for Young Audiences. Some of her favorite productions are Fairmont State’s Dulcitus (Irena) and The Orlando Repertory Theatre’s Writes of Spring – an annually commissioned work devised from the writings of Central Florida’s youth which she served as director in 2009 and acted in in 2010. Currently, she coordinates the Arts in Education grants and services for the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.

Dustin Smyth who plays John is a Braxton County native, raised in Kentucky where he attended Transylvania University studying drama and philosophy. He has appeared in several shows throughout the U.S. including MacBeth and True West. Most recently he appeared as Brick in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Landmark Studio for the Arts. Dustin also writes plays and will be attending the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV this fall.
